BDCD8 Concrete Drilling Possible?

Started by IcedMint on June 30, 2024

I'm looking into getting a new cordless drill and came across the Black+Decker BDCD8. Has anyone used this before? Do you think it's suitable for concrete drilling?

I actually tried the BDCD8 on some concrete projects recently, and it worked surprisingly well! The Overview of the Black+Decker BDCD8 Drill has more details about my experience. You can find it here: [insert website URL]. It's not as powerful as some of the higher-voltage drills, but for light to medium-duty concrete work, it held up pretty well.

I've been using the BDCD8 for a while now and it works great for woodworking and other DIY tasks, but I haven't tried it on concrete yet.

That's good to know! I was worried that since it's only an 8V drill, it might struggle with concrete. Thanks for sharing your experience, @kirkrulz!

Yeah, thanks for sharing, @kirkrulz. It's always helpful to get real-world feedback on these tools.

I've been using the BDCD8 for a bit now and it works great for general tasks around the house, but I haven't tried it on concrete either. I'm planning to do some concrete work soon though, so I'll definitely try it out and see how it fares!

No problem, @IcedMint and @coldblow85. Good luck with your concrete projects, @Sampledoubt. Let us know how it goes!

Will do! Thanks everyone for the input.
