I've been looking into getting a new sander for my woodworking projects. Does anyone have any experience with the Black+Decker BDCMS20C?

Yeah, I recently bought one and it's great for detailed work! For instance, I was able to get into tight spaces while refinishing some antique furniture. Here's an article that goes over its features in detail: Overview of the Black+Decker BDCMS20C Sander

That sounds interesting. Does it have a high enough OPM for my needs?

The BDCMS20C has a no-load speed of 12,000 OPM, which is pretty good for detailed work. However, if you're looking for something even faster, you might want to check out the BDCDSCS sander by Black+Decker.

I've been using it for various DIY projects around the house and it works great! It's perfect for small jobs that require precision like updating cabinet hardware or trimming down picture frames. The dust collection feature is a nice bonus too!

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'm starting to think this might be the one for me. What about battery life? How long does it last?

It's cordless, so you don't have to worry about finding a power outlet. The 1.5 Ah battery lasts pretty long for detailed work, but if you're planning on using it for an extended period, you might want to consider bringing extra batteries or looking at one with a higher capacity.

Good to know! I'm also curious about the weight of this sander. It'll mostly be used for small projects, so I don't want anything too heavy.

The BDCMS20C weighs 2.6 lbs, which is fairly lightweight compared to other sanders on the market. It should be perfect for your needs!

Great, thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. I think I'll go ahead and get one.

Awesome, let us know how you like it once you've had a chance to use it! We'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
