Yeah, I used the BDEMS600 last weekend on my woodworking project and it worked great! The 16,000 OPM speed is really impressive, especially for such a lightweight sander. Check out this article Overview of the Black+Decker BDEMS600 Sander for more details about its specs and performance.
That's awesome to hear! I'm thinking of using it for some furniture restoration projects. What kind of power does the motor provide? Can it handle rough surfaces?
The BDEMS600 has a 1.2-amp rating, which should give you plenty of power for most sanding tasks. It might struggle with more demanding surfaces, but for general use and detailed work, it should be perfect.
I've used this sander on some tight spaces and intricate woodwork, and it's great for those situations. The detail sander shape really comes in handy!
I'm also considering the BDEMS600 for my DIY projects. The dust collection feature is a huge plus! Have any of you experienced issues with the cord? It's 8 feet long, but I'm worried it might be too short or get in the way.
I didn't have any problems with the cord on the BDEMS600. Just make sure you keep it organized and out of the way while working, and you should be fine. The power is consistent, so that's a plus.
Thanks for the input! Based on this discussion, the BDEMS600 seems like a good choice for my needs. I'll definitely check out the article Overview of the Black+Decker BDEMS600 Sander again to make sure it meets all my requirements.
