I'm thinking about getting a cordless drill for woodworking. Has anyone used the Black+Decker BDCD8?
Black+Decker BDCD8 for Woodworking?

Yeah, I've been using it for a few months now and it's been great! It has enough power for my needs and is really lightweight, which is important when working for long periods. The battery life could be better though.
I had the BDCD8 for about six months before I decided to get something more powerful for heavier tasks. I found that it works well for small projects, but it's not ideal for drilling into hardwood or driving large screws.
I've used the BDCD8 in my home workshop and found it perfect for light-duty tasks like assembling furniture and making basic repairs around the house. The 8V motor provides enough torque for those jobs without being too heavy to handle.
If you're looking for more power, there's a great article on TechReviewer about different cordless drills. It has an overview of the Black+Decker BDCD8 and comparisons with other models in the same price range. You can check it out here Overview of the Black+Decker BDCD8 Drill.
Thanks for sharing, @mbarrado. I'll definitely take a look at that article. How do you feel about the battery life on the BDCD8?
It's decent enough for most tasks, but if you're working on a big project, you might need to recharge more often than you'd like.
I agree with @FunsKiTo. The battery life is one of the drawbacks of this drill. However, it's still quite portable and convenient compared to some heavier, corded options.
That's true. For me, the convenience of having a cordless drill makes up for its shortcomings in battery life and power. Plus, I haven't had any issues with overheating or losing charge suddenly while working.
Good points everyone. I'll probably end up getting one. Thanks for the advice!
No problem, @dhiral18. Let us know how you like it once you've had a chance to use it!
