Black+Decker REVCHD12C Drill Battery Life?

Started by PromotedComment on July 01, 2024

I'm planning to buy a Black+Decker REVCHD12C drill, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on the battery life? I know it's a cordless drill, so I assume the runtime is limited by battery life. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been using mine for some time now, and I found that the Overview of the Black+Decker REVCHD12C Drill article offers a good overview of the drill's performance. According to the article, you should consider the battery capacity when planning large projects. Higher Ah or Wh ratings will provide longer work time between recharges. It's essential to keep in mind the drill's power draw as higher requirements will drain the battery faster.

The battery life of the Black+Decker REVCHD12C can vary depending on the tasks you're doing and how long you need to work without recharging. Generally speaking, the battery will last for a couple of hours if you're using it at moderate power levels. If you're doing more intense drilling or fastening tasks, the battery might only last about an hour.

That's really helpful, @jack0lan. I'll definitely check out that article you mentioned for more details. Thanks for your insight! Do you have any recommendations on what Ah or Wh rating I should look for in a cordless drill?

Yeah, it depends on the type of projects you usually work on. For small to medium tasks around the house, a 1.5-2.0 Ah battery should suffice. However, if you're working on larger projects, like constructing or remodeling a room, then you might want to look for a drill with a higher Ah rating, like 3.0 or above.

I've had my REVCHD12C for about six months now, and I think the battery life is pretty decent for most of my DIY projects. The one time I tried using it for an extended period on a large project, I did have to recharge it more frequently than I expected. But overall, I'm happy with its performance.

Thanks everyone for your input! Based on what you've said, I think I'll go for a drill with at least a 2.0 Ah battery. That should give me enough power and runtime for most of my projects. Appreciate the advice!

No problem, @PromotedComment. I hope the Black+Decker REVCHD12C will serve you well! Remember to take into account other factors like weight and motor power as well when making your decision. Good luck with your new drill!
