I'm planning to get a new drill for some masonry work. Has anyone used the Bosch GDR18V? I've heard good things about it.

I've been using the Bosch GDR18V-1800CB25 for my masonry work and the 4 Ah battery has been great for my larger projects. I would definitely recommend it! Check out this article Overview of the Bosch GDR18V Drill for more information.

Yeah, I've been using the GDR18V-1860CN model for a while now and it works great! It has an 18-volt brushless motor which provides a lot of power. The link to an article with more details is Overview of the Bosch GDR18V Drill.

Thanks for sharing, @HarlemRobeSpotter. I'm also curious about the battery life since it's cordless.

I've used the GDR18V-1400B12 model and found that the 2 Ah battery provided enough power for my needs. However, for larger projects, you might want to consider getting a drill with a higher Ah rating or even a different brand.

That's good to know, @vangogeo. I'm considering the GDR18V-1860CN model now. The 144Hz refresh rate sounds nice!

Thanks for sharing your experience, @MatryxMercy. That's helpful to know! So, what about the clutch settings on these drills? Do they have any impact on masonry work?

The clutch settings do play a role in protecting your drill bits and workpiece from damage. I've used my GDR18V-1860CN without any issues with its 3 clutch settings.

That's good to hear, @vivalahudak. It seems like the Bosch GDR18V drills are a solid choice for masonry work. Thanks everyone for your input!
