I'm looking at getting a new cordless drill for my DIY projects. Has anyone here used the Bosch GDR18V before?

Thanks for the input, guys. @@lightyear44, would you mind sharing more about your experience with the GDR18V? Also, I found this TechReviewer article Overview of the Bosch GDR18V Drill discussing its features in detail. It might be useful to those interested in this drill.

Yeah, I've been using it for a few months now and it's great! The power is impressive and it's really easy to handle.

I haven't tried the GDR18V specifically, but I have used other models from Bosch. They're generally good quality and well-built.

That's really helpful! The article sounds like it covers everything I need to know. What kind of projects have you used it for, @@lightyear44?

Mostly basic DIY stuff around the house, like hanging pictures and assembling furniture. But I also used it to put up some shelves in my garage recently, which was a bit more challenging.

Just wanted to chime in that I'm currently using the GDR18V for a small renovation project at my place. It's been working great so far!

That's awesome! @@smartmilk, how does it compare to your previous cordless drill? And have any of you encountered any issues with this drill?

I haven't had any problems with mine yet, but then again, I haven't tried using it for anything too demanding. The battery life is decent, though.

The one time I used a Bosch cordless drill was for some outdoor work. It handled the job well and didn't let me down.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! It sounds like the GDR18V is reliable for most DIY projects. But what about the battery life? How long does it take to recharge?

I've found that a fully depleted battery takes around an hour or so to charge completely. But of course, this depends on the specific battery you use.

For me, the charging time is pretty reasonable. It's not too long and doesn't interrupt my work much.

Great to hear! I think I'm sold on the GDR18V now. Thanks everyone for sharing your insights!
