Started by Throwawaycts on June 27, 2024

I'm looking for a new circular saw and came across the Bosch GKS18V-26LN. Has anyone used this before? What's the accuracy like?

Yeah, I've used it and found that it provides precise cuts when using it properly. Also, there's a good article about it at Overview of the Bosch GKS18V-26LN Circular Saw. You might want to check it out for an overview.

It's been working great for me! The accuracy is quite good.

Thanks, @daastheboss and @wakeupsir. I'm considering whether to go cordless or corded. What do you think?

In my experience, going cordless is more convenient, especially on job sites where there's no power outlet nearby. The Bosch GKS18V-26LN is quite powerful for a cordless saw.

That makes sense. I'm also concerned about the motor life and battery efficiency since I'll be using it for heavy-duty tasks.

A brushless motor like on the Bosch GKS18V-26LN should provide longer motor life, and it adapts to the task at hand, which is a plus. As for battery efficiency, it depends on the battery capacity you choose.

Great, thanks for the advice! I'll definitely check out that article @wakeupsir mentioned.
