I'm looking at getting a new drill and I'm wondering if the Bosch HD18-2 is any good for drilling into concrete?

Yeah, I've used one before. It worked pretty well on concrete. I even found an overview of it in a TechReviewer article Overview of the Bosch HD18-2 Drill.

That's great to hear! I'm curious about its power though. How did it perform compared to other drills you've used?

I think the 8.5 amp motor really made a difference when drilling into concrete. It was definitely more powerful than my old drill.

Thanks for the input! What about the chuck size? Is that suitable for heavy-duty tasks like drilling into concrete?

The 1/2-inch chuck is perfect for that kind of work. It's big enough to handle the drill bits you'll need for concrete.

I've also found that the Bosch HD18-2 works really well on masonry, which is similar to concrete in terms of hardness.

That's really helpful! Thanks everyone for your insights. I think I might go ahead and get the Bosch HD18-2.
