Yeah, I've been using one for about a month now. It's pretty decent! The no-load speed is 5,000 RPM, which makes quick work of cutting through wood.
Hey, I came across this TechReviewer article Overview of the Craftsman CMCS550B Circular Saw that gives an overview of the CMCS550B and its specs. You might find it helpful in making your decision!
Thanks for sharing! I've been looking into cordless saws recently since they're so convenient to use.
Yeah, I'm really enjoying the freedom that comes with not having a power cable. It's perfect for when I'm working outside or just need to move around quickly on my projects.
The 20 volts max voltage is impressive! That should help with cutting through some thicker materials without bogging down too much.
True, that's one of the reasons why I'm considering this saw. I usually work with hardwoods and need a bit more power to get clean cuts.
The 7-1/4 inch blade size is also nice for those bigger cuts when you need some extra reach.
Just be aware that it doesn't have depth adjustments or a very wide bevel angle range, but it might not be an issue if you're mostly working with straight cuts and basic angles.
