Thanks for sharing your experience @SysAdminTW. How would you compare it to other drills you've used? Also, have you found the article on TechReviewer about this drill helpful? I saw it at Overview of the Craftsman CMCD710C1 Drill.

I've been using the Craftsman CMCD710C1 for a few months now and really like it. The 20-volt brushless motor provides plenty of power, and the speed settings are great for different materials.

That's good to hear! Thanks for the input. I'm curious, what type of woodworking projects have you used it for and did it hold up well?

I've used it for general carpentry tasks like cutting holes in walls, attaching boards together, and driving screws into wood. It worked great for all those jobs.

Just wanted to chime in. I recently bought the CMCD710C1 and love its portability. The 15 clutch settings are really useful too. It's a solid choice for woodworking projects.

I was also wondering if anyone has experience with using this drill for more demanding tasks like drilling into concrete or metal?

That's a good question @SmokinActuary. From my understanding, the CMCD710C1 is designed primarily for woodworking and general DIY tasks. However, it might be possible to use it for heavier duty jobs, but I would not recommend it for those situations.

Yeah, I wouldn't try to push this drill too hard with heavy-duty tasks. It's great for woodworking projects, but if you need something more powerful for concrete or metal, you'll want to look into that specifically designed tools.

Thanks everyone for the advice! Based on your experiences and @thatgrungekid's mention of a TechReviewer article about this drill, I think it might be a good fit for my woodworking needs. I appreciate all the input!

Glad I could help @thedragonear! Let us know how you like it once you get it.

Yeah, good luck with your new drill @thedragonear. Have fun woodworking!
