Yes, I have one and it's worked great for me so far! It comes with a 20-volt motor and has a maximum RPM of 2,900. Check out this article Overview of the Craftsman CMCF820 Drill for an in-depth review.
Thanks for the recommendation, @Psycomedian. The specifications seem impressive. But I'm also curious about its portability since it's cordless. How easy is it to use in different areas of your workshop?
I've used a cordless drill before and found them pretty convenient in tight spaces or when working with power tools away from a power outlet.
The Craftsman CMCF820 is quite portable, which makes it perfect for woodworking projects that require precision and maneuverability. Plus, the 1/4 inch chuck size helps with small bits and fasteners.
I've been using the CMCF820 for a few months now and it's great for my DIY projects. The 20-volt motor provides enough power to drill through hardwoods and the brushless motor ensures long-lasting performance.
That's good to hear, @Sacellum. The review on Overview of the Craftsman CMCF820 Drill also mentioned its brushless motor. Is the battery life sufficient for longer projects?
For most of my projects, the battery life has been more than enough. However, if you're working on a large project that requires continuous drilling, you might need to recharge the battery.
I've had my CMCF820 for about a year now and I'm really happy with it. The portability is a huge plus, and I haven't had any issues with the battery life yet.
It's worth noting that the Craftsman CMCF820 comes in two kits - the CMCF820B (bare tool only) and CMCF820D2 (with a 2 amp-hour battery). You might want to consider the kit that best suits your needs.
Thanks for all the insights, everyone. Based on this discussion, I think the Craftsman CMCF820 might be a good fit for my woodworking projects. Appreciate your help!
