Sure, I've been using one for a few months now and it's pretty decent. The 13 amps provide good cutting power and the 5,300 RPM no-load speed helps with quick and smooth cuts.
That sounds great! What about the saw's size? How manageable is it when you're working on projects?
It's fairly compact and lightweight at 8.4 inches in height, 13.8 inches in length, and 8 lbs in weight, which makes it easy to maneuver around the workspace.
Hey, I wanted to share a useful article about the Craftsman CMES500 that I found. It has an overview of its features and performance Overview of the Craftsman CMES500 Circular Saw.
Thanks for sharing, @vanessasublime! The article gives a good sense of what to expect from the saw in terms of specs and capabilities.
Yeah, it's a great resource for anyone considering this circular saw. I particularly liked the part about how the no-load speed affects performance on different materials.
Did you guys find the cord to be a limitation at all? I'm wondering if going cordless might be more convenient.
It can be a bit of a hassle sometimes, but it's not too bad. The 6-foot cord gives me enough room to work in most areas without needing an extension cord.
Thanks for the input! Based on your experiences, I think the Craftsman CMES500 might be a good choice for my needs.
