Yeah, I've used it before. It works great for cutting plywood. The 5-3/8 inch blade is perfect for the job. There's also an article at Overview of the Dewalt DCS512B Circular Saw that gives a good overview of its features and performance.
Thanks for sharing that link, @kajsaunicorn. I'll definitely check it out! How would you say it compares to other circular saws in terms of power and ease of use?
I've used the Dewalt DCS512B on plywood, and it worked well. The 12-volt brushless motor provides good power, and the no-load speed is 3,600 RPM. It's also cordless, so you don't have to worry about extension cords or outlets.
That's a great point, @CraftyCicada. The cordless feature really adds flexibility to where you can use it.
I've been using the Dewalt DCS512B for quite some time now and haven't had any issues. It's easy to handle and very reliable. I particularly like the max voltage of 12 volts, which gives me the power I need for cutting plywood.
Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences! I think I'll go ahead and get one. Any recommendations on what battery capacity I should look for?
For heavy-duty use like cutting plywood, I'd recommend going with a higher amp-hour battery. It will give you more runtime and power.
Good advice, @kajsaunicorn. Also, don't forget to check out the TechReviewer article at Overview of the Dewalt DCS512B Circular Saw for a comprehensive review of the Dewalt DCS512B. It covers everything from its motor capabilities to its versatility in handling different materials.
Thanks for the recommendation, @CraftyCicada. I'll definitely read that article before making my final decision.
