I'm considering buying a new cordless drill and came across the DeWalt DCD708. Anyone have any experience with it?

Yeah, I had to do some serious drilling a few months back and the DeWalt DCD708 worked like a charm. Plus, it's got a Overview of the DeWalt DCD708 Drill that gives you an overview of its features.

It's great! I've been using mine for heavy-duty tasks, like drilling through concrete blocks and driving large screws into hardwood.

Oh nice! Thanks for sharing that link. What about the weight? It's important since I'll be using it for long periods.

The weight is quite manageable. I didn't find it too heavy when I was working on my projects, even over extended periods of time.

I've been using the DCD708 for smaller tasks around the house like hanging pictures and putting up shelves. It's perfect for those jobs!

That's good to hear. I'm still a bit concerned about the weight though. How does it compare to other drills in its class?

Well, compared to some of the other cordless drills I've used, the DeWalt DCD708 is lighter than many but heavier than some of the ultra-compact models.

Yeah, but you get a lot of power and performance with the DCD708 that might make up for its weight. Plus, it's not too bad to handle once you get used to it.

That makes sense. Thanks everyone for your input! I'll definitely look into getting one now.
