I'm looking at getting a new cordless drill and came across the DeWalt DCD780. Can you tell me what features it has? It looks pretty solid.

Sure! The DeWalt DCD780 is quite a versatile tool with some great features. For example, it has a 20V max motor, which provides plenty of power for most tasks. Plus, it comes with a 1/2 inch chuck size and can reach speeds up to 600/2000 RPM.
Yeah, I've used the DCD780 before and it's really quite impressive. There's also an article on TechReviewer that goes over its features in more detail Overview of the DeWalt DCD780 Drill. You might find it helpful for a deeper understanding of what this drill can do.
Thanks, @feeseize, that sounds great! I'll definitely check out the article you linked. How does the clutch system work? I'm curious if it would be useful for me.
The clutch system on the DCD780 is pretty handy. It has 15 different settings which allow you to control the amount of torque applied, making it great for tasks like screwing in screws without stripping them or drilling into materials without causing damage.
I've used this drill a lot and the clutch settings are really useful. They help me avoid damaging my work pieces while drilling or driving screws.
That's good to know, @apesfromspace13. So does anyone have any experience with the battery life on this drill? How long can you expect to use it without needing to recharge?
The battery life really depends on the task at hand and how much power you're using. But generally speaking, the 20V max motor provides good runtime for most applications. I've found that it can last me a full day of work in some cases, but heavier tasks might drain the battery faster.
Thanks everyone for your input! The DCD780 seems like a great option for my needs. I'll probably go ahead and purchase one now that I have all this valuable information from you guys.
That's a wise choice, @Gossmann. You won't be disappointed with the DeWalt DCD780. And if you need any further assistance or advice, we're always here to help!
