I've been looking into getting a new drill and came across the DeWalt DCD793. Does anyone have experience with it or know how the battery life is?

That's good to hear. The TechReviewer article Overview of the DeWalt DCD793 Drill provides an in-depth look at the DCD793 drill, including key features, specifications, and performance. It might be helpful for those looking into this drill to read up on it.

I've been using the DCD793 for about 6 months now, and the battery life has been great! It lasts me through an entire day of work without needing a recharge.

Thanks for sharing that link, @palmettoquinn! From what I understand, the battery life is estimated to be around 40 watt-hours (Wh). Is that accurate?

Yes, that's correct. The battery life is around 40 Wh, which has been working well for me.

I've had my DCD793 for a few months now and I'm really happy with it so far. The drill itself performs very well, but the battery does seem to drain pretty quickly when using high-torque settings. Have you guys experienced anything similar?

That's interesting to know, @feeseize. Thanks for sharing your experience! It seems like the battery life can vary based on usage and the power draw of the drill. @Imaginebeingamish, did you find that the battery drained quickly when using high-torque settings as well?

Yeah, I noticed that too. But it's not a huge concern for me since I'm usually not using high-torque settings all day long.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in and say that I've been really pleased with the DCD793's battery life. I use it for both woodworking and metalworking projects, and the battery has never let me down yet.

That's great to hear, @jonnybravo76! It sounds like everyone's experience with the battery life has been pretty positive overall. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences, everyone.
