Dewalt DCS570P1 & Battery Pack Weight?

Started by myvicariouslife on June 26, 2024

I'm thinking about picking up a new circular saw and the Dewalt DCS570P1 caught my eye. Can anyone tell me how much this thing weighs? And what about the battery pack?

Hey everyone, @Lizzard81 mentioned the DCS570P1 earlier. You can find a more detailed review about it in this article Overview of the Dewalt DCS570P1 Circular Saw. It gives an overview of the saw's features and performance, which might help you make up your mind!

Hey @myvicariouslife, it's quite heavy! The saw itself weighs 12.35 lbs and comes with a battery pack that has a capacity of 5 amp-hours (Ah). It's a bit on the heavier side compared to other cordless circular saws, but its performance is outstanding.

Yeah, I've used it before and it's definitely powerful! But for portability, you might want to look at some lighter options. Just depends on your needs really.

Solution

Thanks for sharing that, @Jappleseed1985, I'll definitely check out the article. The weight doesn't bother me too much as I mostly use my tools at home, so portability isn't a huge concern for me.

That's good to hear, @myvicariouslife. Just make sure you keep the battery charged up and have a spare on hand if you're working on big projects. The last thing you want is to run out of juice in the middle of something!

True enough, @Lizzard81, having a backup battery is always a good idea. And don't forget about safety! Always wear proper protection and take breaks when needed.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. I'll read up on the DCS570P1 some more and hopefully make a decision soon.
