Dewalt DCS573B Battery Life?

Started by Polkadottedstripes on June 26, 2024

I'm considering getting a Dewalt DCS573B Circular Saw and wanted to know if anyone has experience with the battery life? How long does it last on a full charge?

I've been using this saw for a while as well and I found an article that might help answer some of your questions. Check out this TechReviewer article Overview of the Dewalt DCS573B Circular Saw for a more detailed look at the DCS573B's capabilities.

Hi @Polkadottedstripes, I've been using the Dewalt DCS573B for a few months now. The battery definitely lasts longer than my previous circular saw. It usually lasts me about an hour of continuous cutting on a single charge.

Interesting, thanks @HoosierHessian. I'm curious though, how does the 20 volts max voltage affect your performance? Is it enough power for most jobs?

Solution

Thanks @seifersam, I'll definitely check it out! The max voltage seems like it should be sufficient for my needs, but I'm still a bit concerned about battery life. Any suggestions on what to look for in terms of amp-hours?

Well @Polkadottedstripes, one thing I've noticed is that the battery life can vary depending on the type of work you're doing. If you're cutting through thicker materials, it might drain faster. So, I'd recommend getting a battery with a higher amp-hour rating to ensure longer run-time.

That makes sense. Thanks for the advice @HoosierHessian. The more I read about this saw, the more interested I am in getting one! However, is there any way to adjust the depth of the cut on the DCS573B?

Hey @fawkesfire, it doesn't have a depth adjustment feature. But you can always purchase an additional base plate with different thicknesses if you need to make deeper cuts.

Thanks for all the information everyone! I think I'm going to go ahead and get the DCS573B. The battery life seems reasonable, and I'm sure I can find a good deal on a higher amp-hour battery.

That's great to hear @Polkadottedstripes! You won't be disappointed with the performance of this saw. Good luck with your purchase!

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll report back once I get my new saw and start using it.

Sounds good @fawkesfire. Have a great time with your new DCS573B!
