I've been looking at the EGO CS1804 chainsaw for cutting trees, but I'm not sure if it's any good. Can you guys give me some opinions on this one?

It's a pretty solid choice! The battery capacity is 5 Ah and has a maximum voltage of 56 volts. The chainsaw operates at 11,000 RPM without load.
I've used the EGO CS1804 for tree cutting tasks, and it performs quite well. There's an article on TechReviewer that provides an overview of its features and performance Overview of the EGO CS1804 Chainsaw. It also talks about the benefits of brushless motors, which is something this chainsaw has. Give it a read!
Thanks for sharing, @RenegadeBeaver! I'm particularly interested in how efficient the motor is with different materials. Does it handle well on various tree types?
@megaberg1 and @RenegadeBeaver mentioned some great points. The EGO CS1804 can definitely handle various tree cutting tasks efficiently due to its brushless motor, 5 Ah battery capacity, and a maximum operating voltage of 56 volts. I've found that it performs particularly well on trees with less density.
That's helpful information! @RenegadeBeaver, how did you find the chain brake and tool-free chain tensioning features? Those seem like convenient additions to have.
The chain brake was quite useful when I had to stop the chainsaw quickly. It definitely added an extra layer of safety during use. As for the tool-free chain tensioning, it made adjusting the chain a breeze. No need to fuss around with tools in the middle of a job.
Great to know! @Nullcrass, can you tell me more about the 18-inch bar length? How well does it work for cutting larger trees?
The 18-inch bar length allows the EGO CS1804 chainsaw to cut through larger trees with relative ease. It provides a good balance between power and maneuverability. However, if you're frequently working with very large trees or need even more cutting capacity, you might want to consider a chainsaw with a longer bar.
Thanks everyone for the input! I appreciate your insights and experiences. @RenegadeBeaver, do you have any personal anecdotes or tips about using the EGO CS1804?
The only issue I had was when I tried cutting through a particularly dense tree, and the chainsaw struggled a bit. Other than that, it's been a reliable tool for my tree-cutting needs.
@RenegadeBeaver's experience reminds me that different tasks might require different tools. Thanks again for your suggestions!
