I've been looking at getting a new chainsaw and came across the Black+Decker LCS1020B. Has anyone had any experience with it? I'm curious about its features.
LCS1020B Chainsaw - Distinct Features?

Yeah, I got one recently and have been using it for some light work around my house. It works pretty well for what I need! There's a good article with an overview of it at Overview of the Black+Decker LCS1020B Chainsaw.
That's great to hear! What do you think about the power? I'm mostly looking to trim trees in my backyard.
The battery-powered design offers portability and reduced noise levels, which makes it ideal for home use. It has a 20-volt maximum voltage, which should be sufficient for most tree trimming tasks.
I have the LCS1020B and really like it! The 3/8-inch chain pitch is great for fine cutting tasks, like pruning branches. Plus, the tool-free chain tensioning makes maintenance a breeze!
That's good to know! So, does anyone have any experience with the battery compatibility? Do you need to buy the battery separately?
Yeah, you're right @dchambers1191, the chain pitch is really nice for precision work. And about the battery, you do have to purchase it separately.
Thanks for the input everyone! I'm starting to lean towards getting this one. Is there anything else I should know before making my decision?
Just make sure you're aware of the weight, at 8.5 lbs it's not the lightest chainsaw out there, but it's still manageable.
Another thing to consider is that it has no chain brake, which means you'll need to be more careful when using it. But for lighter tasks and home use, I think it should be fine.
Thanks again everyone! I'll keep all these factors in mind while making my decision.
