I've been looking for a new cordless drill and I'm wondering if the Black+Decker LDX220C is any good. Has anyone tried it out?

Yeah, I just got one recently and it's working great for me! The battery life is pretty decent and it has a nice clutch system with 11 settings.
That sounds interesting. Can you tell us more about the features? Like what's inside this drill? I found an overview of the LDX220C on Overview of the Black+Decker LDX220C Drill, if you're interested.
Thanks for sharing that, @hotsRenegade! The 11 clutch settings sound really useful. Do you have any personal experience using it for drilling or driving screws?
Yeah, I've used it for both drilling and driving screws, and it works great for both! The power is good enough for most tasks around the house.
I'm also considering this drill. What about the motor speed? How fast does it go and how important is that?
Good question, @ManicPixieDreams. According to the Overview of the Black+Decker LDX220C Drill article, the LDX220C has a 0-350/1,500 RPM motor speed. That seems pretty versatile for various tasks.
It definitely is! I've found that it handles different materials well and the variable speed control helps with precision when drilling through things like wood or metal.
True, and it also has a 3/8-inch chuck size which is nice for working with smaller bits and screws. Plus, being cordless means you can use it anywhere without worrying about power cords.
That's great to hear! I'm starting to lean towards getting this drill. But how does the weight of the LDX220C compare to other drills on the market?
It's not the lightest drill out there, but at 3.7 lbs it's still manageable and lightweight compared to many corded models.
Yeah, I find it pretty easy to handle for extended periods of time, even when working on larger projects. The portability of being cordless definitely makes up for the slight increase in weight.
Good point! Thanks everyone for your input. I think I'll go ahead and pick one up and see how it works out for me.
Agreed! Let us know how you like it once you get it set up and used to it. Good luck!
