Yeah, I've used it before and it worked great! It's a 20-volt hammerdrill with a 1/2-inch chuck and has 13 clutch settings. You can find more details in this TechReviewer article Overview of the Craftsman CMCD721B Drill.

Solution

The 1/2-inch chuck seems pretty standard for most drills, but the 20-volt motor sounds impressive! How does it perform on various materials?

I've used it a bit and was quite happy with its performance. It's not as powerful as some corded drills, but it provides enough torque for most DIY tasks. The 13 clutch settings come in handy when working with different materials.

That's good to know! One thing that concerns me is the battery life. How long does it last before needing a recharge?

It depends on the task, but I usually get about an hour of work from a single charge. For smaller projects, this should be enough, but for larger ones, you might need to recharge more frequently.

That's not too bad. I like how lightweight it is at 3.1 lbs, which makes it easy to carry around and maneuver in tight spaces.

Yeah, the weight does make a difference when using it for extended periods. It's comfortable to hold and control, but if you're working on big projects all day, you might start feeling fatigued.

Thanks for the input! I'll definitely consider this drill for my next project. By the way, what do you think about the different clutch settings? Do they provide precise control over the drilling speed?

The clutch settings are useful for controlling the amount of torque applied to the workpiece. This can be helpful when drilling into materials like wood or metal without causing damage to them. However, I haven't had much experience adjusting them for different applications yet.

That's a good point about the clutch settings. I think they add an extra layer of versatility to the drill. Overall, I'm happy with my experience using the CMCD721B.

It sounds like a great choice for DIY projects! Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and knowledge on this drill.
