I'm looking at getting a new chainsaw and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Makita ADCU10SM1? I know it's battery-powered, which is really appealing to me.

Yeah, I've used it before. It's pretty good. The 4 Ah battery provides consistent cutting power for various tasks.
I tried one recently and found starting it up was a bit tricky. Not sure if that's just because I'm not experienced with chainsaws or if that's common for this model.
Same here, the start-up was a bit challenging for me too. But once you get it going, it performs really well.
Thanks for your input! So, is the Makita ADCU10SM1 easy to start and operate overall?
I've used the Makita ADCU10SM1 chainsaw, and I found that while it does require a bit of effort to start, once you get it going, it's quite simple to operate. I would recommend reading through the manual thoroughly before using it for the first time. There's also an article about this chainsaw on TechReviewer Overview of the Makita ADCU10SM1 Chainsaw which provides a detailed overview.
That's helpful! Thanks, @graemej1. I'll definitely check out that TechReviewer article you linked to. Does anyone else have any other tips or experiences they'd like to share?
The 4 Ah battery does last quite a while, so for me, that's a huge plus. It makes the chainsaw perfect for longer tasks around the house.
Yeah, and it's also pretty light at only 6.7 lbs. So it's not too heavy to handle for extended periods.
I agree with you both. The battery life is impressive, and it's nice that the chainsaw isn't too heavy.
This really helps me make my decision. It seems like a good choice overall. I might just go ahead and purchase it.
