Solution

That's very helpful, @KingWylo. So, it seems like the Makita BO4556 would be suitable for my woodworking projects?

Absolutely, @aznboy85, the BO4556 is also great for detailed sanding in tight corners, which larger sanders can't reach. It has a 4.5 x 4 inch pad size and weighs just 2.5 lbs., making it lightweight and highly maneuverable.

Thanks for the info, @stevebconnect. What about its performance on denser materials?

I've used the BO4556 sander on dense hardwoods, and it still did a great job. It's not as fast as on softer materials, but it provides excellent control and accuracy.

Great to know! Thanks everyone for your input. I think I'll go ahead with my plan to buy the Makita BO4556 sander.

You won't be disappointed, @aznboy85. It's a top-notch tool!
