I'm considering buying a new sander and came across the Makita BO5031K. Has anyone used it or has any experience with this model? I'd love to hear some feedback.

That sounds like a good choice, @AndItsDrew. Have you checked out this article on TechReviewer? It provides an overview of the Makita BO5031K sander features. Overview of the Makita BO5031K Sander

Hey @ShiMeiWo, I've been using mine for about six months now and it's worked great for me. The random orbital motion gives a really smooth finish, and the 5-inch pad is perfect for larger projects.

Thanks, @yukonstella, I'll have a look at that article. What about dust collection though? Is it effective?

Yeah, the dust collection is pretty good on this model. It does a decent job of keeping my workspace clean while I work.

I've been using the Makita BO5031K for over a year now and I absolutely love it! The variable speed feature is really useful, especially when working with different materials.

That's great to hear, @Markelmann. You're right about the variable speed. The article on TechReviewer also highlights this feature as one of its positives.

Thanks for all your input, guys. I'll probably go ahead and buy the Makita BO5031K. It seems like a solid choice for my needs.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed, @ShiMeiWo. Just make sure to read up on some maintenance tips so your sander stays in good shape.
