I've been looking at getting a new chainsaw and came across the Makita EA3500SRDB. Has anyone had experience with this one?

Thanks for your input. By the way, there's a great article about this chainsaw on TechReviewer Overview of the Makita EA3500SRDB Chainsaw. You might find it helpful!

Yeah, I've used it before. It's a solid machine! The 35 cc engine is pretty powerful for heavier tasks.

That's interesting. What about the cutting speed? Is it fast enough for professional use?

I haven't personally used it, but from what I've read, the Makita EA3500SRDB has a chain speed of 12,800 RPM without load, which should be adequate for most tasks.

That's really useful! I'll definitely check that out. I was also wondering, does anyone have any opinions on gas versus battery-powered chainsaws?

Both have their pros and cons. Gas chainsaws like the Makita EA3500SRDB are great for heavy-duty tasks due to their high cutting power, while battery-powered ones offer convenience and portability.

I guess it depends on what type of work I'll be doing then. The 16-inch bar length on the Makita model seems impressive too.

Absolutely. The bar length is one of the factors that determine how thick a material you can cut through, so for heavier tasks like cutting firewood or trimming trees, it's definitely an advantage.

Great information, everyone! I'll keep all this in mind while making my decision. Thanks again!
