I've been looking for a chainsaw that can handle wet wood cutting effectively. Has anyone used the Makita EA3500SRDB?

Yeah, I've used it for a while now and it's great! The 35 cc engine really gives it a good amount of power. It handles wet wood pretty well too.
That's interesting. I was wondering about the chain speed though. How does that compare to other chainsaws in its class?
The Makita EA3500SRDB has quite an impressive chain speed, at 12,800 RPM without load. There's a good article with an overview of it at Overview of the Makita EA3500SRDB Chainsaw.
Oh nice! That's pretty fast. I was also curious about the fuel capacity, as I don't always have access to fuel when cutting.
The fuel capacity of the Makita EA3500SRDB is 13.5 ounces. It's not the largest out there, but it should be enough for most tasks unless you're working in really remote areas.
What about the weight? I've heard that gas-powered chainsaws can be pretty heavy, and I'm concerned about carrying it around for extended periods.
The Makita EA3500SRDB weighs 9.7 lbs., which is on the heavier side compared to some battery-powered models. However, if you're doing heavy-duty tasks where power and cutting performance are more important than portability, it might be worth it.
Thanks for the input everyone! I'll definitely consider the Makita EA3500SRDB for my wet wood cutting needs. I think its power and chain speed make it a strong contender.
