Actually, there's an article about this chainsaw on TechReviewer. Overview of the Makita XCU10SM1 Chainsaw It gives a great overview of its features and how well it performs in various tasks, including cutting firewood.

From what I've heard, it's quite efficient. It's battery-powered and has a brushless motor, which should make it suitable for that kind of task.

I'll definitely check that out! What about the chain speed? Is that adequate for cutting firewood?

From what I remember, it has a 78.67 FPS chain speed. That should be more than enough for firewood.

Just make sure you get the right bar length and chain size for your needs. The Makita XCU10SM1 comes with a 12-inch bar and .043 gauge chain, which should work well for most people.

Good point! I'll keep that in mind. Thanks everyone for the input!

No problem, happy to help! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
