Has anyone tried using the Makita XCU10Z chainsaw for cutting hardwood? I'm looking to get one, but I want to make sure it's suitable for that purpose.

I have the Makita XCU10Z and found it perfect for cutting hardwood. The 12-inch bar length is quite helpful in these cases. Have you checked out this article about it? Overview of the Makita XCU10Z Chainsaw

Yeah, I've used it on hardwood before. It works well, but you might need to take a little extra care when making your cuts.

I just wanted to chime in real quick. The Makita XCU10Z is a really good choice for hardwood cutting. Just make sure you have a compatible battery so you can maximize its performance. The brushless motor does a great job too!
