I'm considering buying a Makita XCU11Z chainsaw. Has anyone used one professionally?
Makita XCU11Z for Professional Use?

Yes, I've been using it for some tree trimming work. It's pretty powerful and lightweight for a battery-powered model.
The 18-volt brushless motor is impressive in this chainsaw. It makes the job easier with less friction and heat compared to my old gas-powered saw.
I have used it professionally, and it works great! The Overview of the Makita XCU11Z Chainsaw provides an overview of its features. I especially like the chain speed and tool-free chain tensioning system. Those features make it a joy to work with in difficult conditions.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @gabuzgod. The chain speed is impressive. But does anyone have any opinions on how long the battery lasts?
I've found that the battery life depends on the task at hand. It doesn't last as long when making deep cuts or cutting through hard wood, but it's sufficient for most of my tree trimming work.
That makes sense. For me, it's a great replacement for my gas-powered chainsaw in terms of power and performance. The lightweight design is also a bonus.
I agree with @GrayAsWinterRain. The weight of the Makita XCU11Z (9.3 lbs) is quite manageable for long hours of work. Plus, the chain brake and tool-free chain tensioning system are features that really set it apart from other models in its class.
These comments have been very helpful! I'm leaning towards buying this chainsaw. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences!
