Makita XDT19 Features?

Started by fewcantakethecake on June 20, 2024

I've been considering buying a new drill and came across the Makita XDT19. Does anyone have any experience with it or know anything about its features?

I've used the Makita XDT19Z model, which doesn't come with a battery. But you can find a good battery deal at Overview of the Makita XDT19 Drill. The drill itself is very efficient, especially with its 4-speed system. And the clutch settings are great for precision work.

Yeah, it's pretty great! I bought one a few months ago and have been using it for various projects around the house. It's lightweight and has a powerful brushless motor.

Thanks, @spencerfitch! That sounds impressive. What about the chuck size? I need something that can handle bigger bits.

It's got a 1/4-inch chuck size, which should be suitable for most applications.

Just a quick tip, if you're considering this drill, make sure to get an extended battery pack for longer work sessions. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Good point, @IconistSF! The battery life can be a factor depending on the job's duration.

I think I'm leaning towards getting one. Thanks everyone for your input!
