I've been looking at the Makita XPS01PTJ and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it? The specs seem impressive, but I want to hear from people who have actually used it.

Sure, here's the link to the TechReviewer article Overview of the Makita XPS01PTJ Circular Saw.

I got one a few months back for some woodworking projects. It's pretty powerful and cuts well. There's also a great review of the Makita XPS01PTJ in this TechReviewer article Overview of the Makita XPS01PTJ Circular Saw.

That's really helpful, thanks! The no-load speed and brushless motor seem to be standout features. I'm just curious if anyone had any issues with battery life or durability?

@ZekromsMalice mentioned a TechReviewer article about the Makita XPS01PTJ? Can you share the link again? I'd love to read it.

Solution

I'll definitely check it out. How do you like the cutting accuracy on the Makita XPS01PTJ?

I've been using mine for a few weeks now and I'm pretty happy with it. The cutting accuracy is good, but I did have to adjust the depth once or twice when working with thick wood.

Thanks for your input! It's helpful to know that even pros like you might need some adjustments from time to time.

Absolutely, every tool has its quirks. As long as it does the job right most of the time, I'm happy.

What about battery life? Have any of you experienced any issues with that?

I've been using mine for a couple of months now and I must say, the battery life has been impressive. The 5.0Ah battery provides enough power for most tasks without needing to recharge too often.

That's great to hear! Is there any difficulty in carrying around the Makita XPS01PTJ, especially with the battery attached?

It's a bit heavier than some other saws I've used, but manageable. The weight is distributed well and it doesn't feel too unwieldy.

Thanks for the insights! This tool seems like a good investment. I think I'll go ahead and give it a try.

Sounds like a solid choice! If you have any questions or issues in the future, don't hesitate to ask us here on the forum.
