I'm looking to get a circular saw for some cutting projects around the house. Has anyone used the Makita XPS01PTJ? It seems pretty powerful.

Yeah, I've had it for a couple of months now and it's been great! The 6-1/2 inch blade is perfect for most things I need to do. What are you planning on cutting?
I used the Makita XPS01PTJ last weekend to cut some wood for a deck project, and it worked like a charm.
Hey there! Just wanted to chime in and mention that there's a really great article about this saw at Overview of the Makita XPS01PTJ Circular Saw. It goes over all the specs and even has some user experiences. You might find it helpful!
Thanks for sharing, @Starshin3! I'll definitely check out that article. The battery life on this saw seems pretty good too.
I've been using mine for a couple of weeks now and haven't had any issues with the battery yet. It's a very powerful tool and has made my cutting projects much easier.
The Makita XPS01PTJ is definitely worth the investment if you're doing a lot of cutting work. I've used it for cutting drywall, wood, and even metal, and it handles everything well.
I agree with @graemej1. It's also really lightweight, which makes it easier to maneuver around tight spaces. Plus, it has a pretty decent range on the depth adjustments.
Great points! Thanks for the input, everyone. I think this saw might be exactly what I need for my projects.
