I'm considering getting a Makita XSH03Z for my next project but can't seem to find any info on its battery life. Has anyone used this saw before or has any suggestions on what to expect?

Thanks for the link, @conrob95. I noticed that the saw operates at 18 volts max voltage, which is quite powerful. But to determine the battery life, I think I'll need to purchase a compatible battery separately and check its amp-hour rating. Any suggestions on what amp-hour rating would be best for this saw?

Hey @sungokpyo, I recently bought the Makita XSH03Z and have been using it for my DIY projects. The battery life is pretty good, but it does depend on the amp-hour rating of the battery you choose. For heavy-duty use like construction work, a higher amp-hour battery would be recommended. But if you're only doing occasional light-duty tasks, a lower amp-hour battery might be enough.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @FluorescentAndStarry. I appreciate the advice. It seems like choosing the right battery is crucial to get the most out of this saw. I'll definitely keep that in mind when making my purchase.

Absolutely, @sungokpyo. And don't forget to consider factors like power requirements and intended usage patterns when balancing battery capacity with your saw's performance needs.

I also recently bought the Makita XSH03Z and have been quite satisfied with its performance. The 5,000 RPM no-load speed really makes quick work of cutting through lumber for my home projects. Just make sure to get a good quality battery to go along with it!

Great to know, @ethinker. Thanks for the input. I think I'll go ahead and purchase the Makita XSH03Z along with a suitable battery for my needs.

That's awesome, @sungokpyo! I'm sure you'll be happy with your decision. And if you have any questions or need advice in the future, don't hesitate to ask us here on the forum.
