I'm looking into getting a new circular saw and came across the Makita XSH04RB. Has anyone used it before? I need something powerful for heavy-duty cutting.

Yeah, I've used it! It's pretty solid for heavy-duty tasks. The 18-volt brushless motor really packs a punch. You can check out more details in this TechReviewer article Overview of the Makita XSH04RB Circular Saw.
That sounds great! What about the battery life? Is it enough for a full day of work?
I've had no issues with battery life. The 2.0Ah battery that comes with it is quite powerful and lasts long, even during heavy-duty tasks.
Awesome, thanks! What about the cutting capacity? Can it handle thicker materials like plywood or hardwood?
It can definitely handle thicker materials. I've used it on both plywood and hardwood without any issues. The 6-1/2 inch blade size is quite useful for these tasks.
That's exactly what I need! How about the bevel angle range? Is it flexible enough for different cutting angles?
Yes, it has a bevel angle range of 0-50 degrees, which should cover most situations you'll encounter. It makes it pretty versatile for various cutting tasks.
Great to know! Thanks everyone for the input. I think this might just be the saw I'm looking for!
