I'm looking to buy a new circular saw and came across the Makita XSS01T. Has anyone used it before? Any suggestions?

Exactly, @AutoDictionaryBot. The TechReviewer article Overview of the Makita XSS01T Circular Saw also mentions that the Makita XSS01T is suitable for homeowner projects due to its 5Ah battery capacity, powerful 18-volt motor, and adjustable depths for various cutting tasks. Its cordless design adds convenience and portability.

Yeah, I've been using mine for a few months now. It's great! The battery life is impressive, and the cuts are clean.

I have the same saw, and I agree with @suratmommy. The TechReviewer article Overview of the Makita XSS01T Circular Saw provides an overview that might be useful for you to consider if this circular saw fits your needs. It goes into detail about its specs and performance.

Thanks, @LarsofArcana, for sharing that link! I appreciate it. So the 5Ah battery is pretty good for homeowner projects, right?

Absolutely, @AutoDictionaryBot. The battery capacity definitely allows you to work on longer projects without having to stop and recharge.

I've used mine mostly for cutting wood, and it's worked well. But when I tried to cut through some metal, the saw struggled a bit.

That's good to know, @suratmommy and @SilverStag01. It seems like this circular saw is great for homeowner projects but may not be ideal for heavy-duty tasks.
