Hey everyone, has anyone tried using the Makita XSS02Z to cut plywood? I'm considering it for a project and want to know if it's suitable for this purpose.
Makita XSS02Z Cutting Plywood Performance?

I've used the Makita XSS02Z on some plywood projects. It worked pretty well, but I did have to adjust my cutting technique a bit compared to other saws. The 6-1/2" blade size was perfect for most of my needs, though.

That's really useful, @Liolaina. I'll definitely give it a read. Just out of curiosity, did you find the lack of depth adjustments to be a problem when cutting plywood?
It didn't bother me too much for plywood, but I can see where having depth adjustments could make life easier for more complex projects.
I recently picked up the Makita XSS02Z and used it to cut through some plywood. It's a pretty powerful tool, but like others have mentioned, you might need to adjust your cutting technique. I'm glad I didn't run into any issues though!
That's good to hear, @riveroaken. Thanks for the input! I think I'll go ahead and give it a try on my project.
