I've used the Milwaukee 2730-21 Circular Saw as well. It's suitable for DIYers because of its power, features, and usability. There's also a good article with an overview of it at Overview of the Milwaukee 2730-21 Circular Saw.

Yeah, I have! It's a great saw and worked well for me. The brushless motor provides good power, and it's cordless which is really convenient.

Thanks, that sounds promising! What about the cutting depths?

For a 6 1/2 inch blade, it has a 90-degree depth of 2-3/16 inches and a 45-degree depth of 1-5/8 inches. That should be enough for most DIY tasks.

I'm also considering this saw. What about the no-load speed? Is it fast enough?

The no-load speed is 5,000 RPM which should be pretty fast for making quick and efficient cuts. But it's worth noting that higher RPMs can produce more heat and noise.

I see. Thanks for the input everyone!
