I've been considering getting a Milwaukee 2801 drill for some heavy-duty work around the house. Has anyone used one before?

Yeah, it's working great for me! There's a good article with an overview of it at Overview of the Milwaukee 2801 Drill. I particularly like how versatile it is.

That sounds interesting! I've had good experiences with Milwaukee tools in the past. What kind of power and torque does it have?

According to the TechReviewer article, it has an 18-volt motor which seems impressive for a cordless drill. The chuck size is also 1/2 inch, which should be good for handling larger bits.

I've used one before and it's quite powerful. It can handle heavy-duty tasks with its clutch settings, brushless motor, and various speed options. But you'll need to keep an eye on the battery life.

That's great to know! What about the weight? How comfortable was it for extended periods of use?

The 2801 drill weighs 3.4 lbs., which is quite manageable. I haven't had any issues using it for long periods, but every person is different.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! It sounds like a good choice for some heavy-duty work around the house. I'll definitely check it out in more detail.

Awesome, glad to hear that! I think I might just go ahead and get one for my next project.
