I'm looking for some advice on choosing a drill. Specifically, I've been considering the SKIL 6239-01 drill. What are your thoughts on it?
SKIL 6239-01 Drill Comparison?

I've used one before and had great results! The SKIL 6239-01 is a corded power tool with a 5.5 amp motor and variable speed up to 2,700 RPM. It has a 3/8-inch keyless chuck, which makes it really easy to change bits.
I've been using mine for some heavy-duty tasks like drilling through concrete and it's held up well so far! There's also an article on TechReviewer that provides a detailed overview of the SKIL 6239-01. You can find it at Overview of the SKIL 6239-01 Drill.
I'll definitely check out that article. The variable speed feature is really appealing to me since I do a mix of light and heavy tasks.
That's an excellent choice! I've found the SKIL 6239-01 to be quite versatile in my work as a contractor. It's not too heavy, but it still provides plenty of power for when I need it.
It really is a great drill. Just remember that since it's corded, you'll have to deal with the power cord. But for me, having constant power supply and portability are more important than carrying around a battery pack.
Good points all around! I think I'm leaning towards getting the SKIL 6239-01. Thanks everyone for the input!
