I'm planning to buy a new circular saw and was wondering if the Skil CR540602 is any good for cutting plywood? Has anyone used it?

Yeah, I've been using one for a couple of months now. It works great! You can find a detailed overview in this article Overview of the Skil CR540602 Circular Saw. The blade size is 6-1/2 inches, which should be perfect for your needs.
That's awesome! I'm interested in the power ratings and cutting depths. Can anyone shed some light on that?
Sure! It has a no-load speed of 4,500 RPM and a 20-volt max voltage. The battery capacity is 2 Ah, which should give you decent runtime for your projects.
I've used the Skil CR540602 for cutting plywood, and it works like a charm. The left-side blade location is pretty convenient too!
Thanks for the input! How does the bevel angle range work? Can you adjust it easily?
It has a 0-50 degree bevel angle range, which should give you plenty of flexibility when it comes to making angled cuts. I haven't had any issues adjusting it so far.
Just a reminder that this saw is cordless, which means no power cords to trip over or deal with. That's always a plus in my book!
Great to know! What about the weight of the saw? It's important for me to be able to carry it around easily.
It weighs 2.94 lbs, which I find pretty lightweight compared to other circular saws I've used. Carrying it around shouldn't be a problem at all.
Sounds like a great option! I think I'll go ahead and give it a try. Thanks for the advice, everyone!
You're welcome! If you have any questions in the future, feel free to ask. Good luck with your new saw!
