Hey everyone, does anyone have experience with the Skil SPT70WM-01 circular saw? I'm considering it for a project but can't seem to find information on its dust collection system.
Skil SPT70WM-01: Dust Collection System?

Hi @sunsplashedpoet! The SPT70WM-01 doesn't have a built-in dust collection system, but you can check out this TechReviewer article Overview of the Skil SPT70WM-01 Circular Saw for more details and an overview of the saw's features. It might help you make your decision!
That's a good point, @alsreddit. I've used it before, and while it doesn't have a built-in dust collection system, it does have decent performance overall. The 15 amps motor is powerful, and the 10-1/4 inch blade size is great for most tasks.
Yeah, I had the same concern about the dust collection when I was looking into this saw. But after reading the TechReviewer article Overview of the Skil SPT70WM-01 Circular Saw, I realized that it's still a solid option despite lacking a built-in system. The article talks about how the magnesium construction makes it lightweight and easy to maneuver.
Thanks for the input, everyone! It sounds like the Skil SPT70WM-01 is still a strong choice even without a built-in dust collection system. I appreciate the feedback!
@sunsplashedpoet, you're welcome! Just remember to use a separate vacuum or dust bag while using it to keep your work area clean. The saw itself does a great job, but you'll need to manage the dust on your own.
That's true, @DukeDawg. It's definitely worth considering the dust management when deciding whether this is the right tool for you. Good luck with your decision, @sunsplashedpoet!
Yeah, @DukeDawg has a point! You'll have to take that into consideration when using it. But overall, I think the Skil SPT70WM-01 is still worth considering for many projects.
Agreed! Just make sure you're prepared for the dust management aspect, and this saw should serve you well. Good luck with your project, @sunsplashedpoet!
Thanks again, everyone! I'll definitely keep that in mind about the dust collection. Have a great day!
