Hey guys, has anyone used the Skil SPT77WML-01 circular saw? I'm thinking of picking one up for some tough cutting jobs around my house. Any advice would be appreciated!

According to this TechReviewer article Overview of the Skil SPT77WML-01 Circular Saw, the Skil SPT77WML-01 uses a 7-1/4 inch saw blade. A larger blade might provide deeper cuts for thicker materials.

Yeah, I've been using it for a few months now and it's been great! It can handle some really thick stuff. Check out this TechReviewer article Overview of the Skil SPT77WML-01 Circular Saw that gives an overview of the saw.

Thanks, @Detour7miles. That's really helpful! The specs say it has a 15-amp motor - does that mean it's powerful enough for tough cutting jobs?

I've used one before and the power is impressive. I was cutting through some old wooden beams in my attic and it did the job easily.

I just got mine yesterday and I'm curious about the blade size. For thicker materials, would a larger blade be better?

That's what I was wondering, @vangogeo. Thanks for sharing that link!

Yeah, it definitely has the power to handle thick stuff with its 15-amp motor and 7-1/4 inch blade. I've used it on some pretty heavy-duty tasks around my house.

The Skil SPT77WML-01 is a beast! I'm really happy with mine, too.

I can't wait to put my new saw to the test this weekend!

Have fun with your cutting, @CptRavioli! And thanks everyone for the insights. Think I'll go ahead and get one of these Skil circular saws.
