I'm thinking of getting a circular saw for some DIY projects around the house. Has anyone used the Skil SPT78W-01? What are your thoughts?

I've been using it for a while now and it's great! It's quite powerful with its 15 amps motor. The blade size is also good at 8-1/4 inches, which allows me to make deeper cuts.
That's interesting! But what about the corded nature of this saw? I was looking for something more mobile for my projects.
I know a TechReviewer article that compares different circular saws, including the Skil SPT78W-01. You can check it out here Overview of the Skil SPT78W-01 Circular Saw. It might give you some insights into whether the corded nature is an issue for you or not.
Thanks, @Knowledge1337! I'll definitely have a look at that article. How's the weight and size of this saw? Is it easy to handle?
The Skil SPT78W-01 weighs 18.5 lbs and has dimensions of 8 inches in height and 20.7 inches in length, which makes it relatively lightweight and compact for maneuvering around tight spaces.
I've been using the Skil SPT78W-01 for some time now, and one thing that stands out is its power rating. The 15 amps motor really helps when cutting through dense materials like hardwoods or even concrete in some cases.
Wow! That's impressive! I might have to consider this saw after all. Do you think the corded aspect could be a problem for moving around?
It can be somewhat limiting, but it depends on your work environment and projects. If you have access to power outlets everywhere or don't need to move the saw too often, then it shouldn't be an issue.
I see! Thanks everyone for sharing their experiences with the Skil SPT78W-01. I think I'll give it a try and see if it works well for my DIY projects.
