Yeah, I've been using it for a few months now and it works great! The cordless design really makes it easy to move around without worrying about cords.
That's awesome, but what's the pad size like? I need something that can cover larger areas quickly for my projects.
The pad is 5.25 x 3.75 inches. It works well on most surfaces, but if you're doing large-scale work you might want to look into a sander with a bigger pad.
Thanks for the input! How's the battery life on it? I don't want to be stopped mid-project because the battery died.
The Skil SR6608A-10 has a 2 Ah battery, which should last you for most projects. If you're doing something more extensive, though, you might need to pause and recharge. There's an article about it here Overview of the Skil SR6608A-10 Sander. It goes into detail on the features and specs of the sander.
That's helpful! Thanks for sharing the link. The battery life seems manageable. Do you think this sander is good for intricate work, like detailed carving?
Yes, I've found it works great for intricate woodwork. The shape and size of the sanding pad make it easy to access tight spaces.
Alright, that's exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks everyone for your insights. I'll probably go ahead and purchase the Skil SR6608A-10 then.
Sounds like a good choice! If you have any questions or issues later on, feel free to ask us here in the forum. Good luck with your project!
