Special Storage Req. for Wen 6305 Sander?

Started by Beantown1082 on June 25, 2024

I'm considering buying a Wen 6305 sander and was wondering if anyone has any special storage requirements for it. I'd hate to have it just lying around when not in use.

Hey, I read an interesting article on TechReviewer about this topic Overview of the Wen 6305 Sander. You might find it helpful for some ideas!

Hi @Beantown1082! The size of the Wen 6305 is fairly large due to its 5-inch pad, so you might want to think about some storage solution that can accommodate that. It's a good idea to look into wall-mounted holders or something similar.

Solution

Thanks for the suggestion, @happilypermanent and @AmericanSquatch! The article seems like a great resource. I'll definitely check it out. By the way, has anyone had any issues with dust collection? That's something I'm particularly interested in.

Hey @Beantown1082, dust collection is actually one of my favorite features on the Wen 6305! It keeps my workspace much cleaner when I'm sanding. Plus, it's easy to empty and maintain.

That's great to hear, @Mazekitty! Thanks for sharing your experience. Any other tips or thoughts about the sander itself?

The Wen 6305 is pretty powerful with its no-load speed of 6000-13000 OPM, but it can get quite noisy and generate some heat. Just something to be aware of if you're planning on using it for extended periods.

Thanks for the heads up, @happilypermanent! I appreciate the advice. Seems like a great sander overall though.
