Hey everyone, has anyone bought a Makita XCU07PT chainsaw? I'm looking to get one and want some advice on where to buy it from. Any recommendations?

I haven't tried a longer bar length myself, but according to the article Overview of the Makita XCU07PT Chainsaw, the Makita XCU07PT is designed for precision and control due to its shorter bar length. It might not be the best choice for heavy-duty applications or larger projects.

I recently got the Makita XCU07PT! I've been really happy with its performance. You can check out more details about it in this article Overview of the Makita XCU07PT Chainsaw. As for where to buy, you could try Amazon or Best Buy. They usually have good deals and fast shipping.

Thanks for the info! I'll take a look at those stores. The 5 Ah battery capacity sounds impressive. Do you find that it lasts long enough for your tasks?

I bought mine from Home Depot, and they had a great deal on it. The battery does last quite a while, but it depends on the task. For lighter work, I can get several hours out of it, but for heavier jobs, it might run out faster.

Another vote for Amazon! They had the best price and free shipping when I purchased my Makita XCU07PT. The 18 to 36 volts max voltage gives this chainsaw a lot of power. Highly recommended store!

Great, thanks everyone! I'll check these stores out. By the way, has anyone tried using this chainsaw with larger bar lengths? Would it handle it well?

Solution

Thanks for the information! I'll probably stick with the 14-inch bar length then, as my tasks won't require anything too heavy-duty. Just one more question: how's the weight of the Makita XCU07PT? Is it easy to handle?

The Makita XCU07PT weighs 11.2 lbs., which I find manageable for most tasks. However, if you're working for extended periods, you might feel some fatigue due to its weight.

That's helpful to know. Based on your experiences and advice, I think I'll go ahead and buy the Makita XCU07PT from Amazon. They seem to have the best price and offer free shipping, as @ridders103 mentioned. Again, thank you for all the insights!

No problem, glad we could help! Enjoy your new chainsaw!
