I'm considering getting a Dewalt DCS571B circular saw and was wondering if it's possible to use it for making plunge cuts. Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks for sharing your experience, @Verdilac. I also found an article that provides a comprehensive overview of this circular saw. It's really helpful if you're considering purchasing one. The TechReviewer article Overview of the Dewalt DCS571B Circular Saw discusses its features in detail, including the 4-1/2 inch blade size and 20 volts max voltage.

Yeah, you can definitely use the Dewalt DCS571B for plunge cuts! I've been using mine for quite some time now and it works great.

That sounds great! I appreciate the recommendation, @mikebwesty. How do you find the performance of this saw when cutting through different materials?

It performs really well on various materials. The 4,500 RPM no-load speed helps with faster and smoother cuts, especially in softer materials like wood.

I've also used the Dewalt DCS571B for some woodworking projects and found it to be quite efficient and easy to use. Its compact design and weight of 5.5 lbs make it portable and maneuverable, which is a huge plus!

That's good to know, @waynepreno. I'm leaning towards getting this saw now. Thanks for the advice everyone.

You're welcome, @merkules. If you have any questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask! Good luck with your decision!
