Wen 40417 Chainsaw Weight?

Started by PowerCandidate on June 28, 2024

I've been considering getting a new chainsaw and came across the Wen 40417. Has anyone had any experience with it? The weight seems to be an important factor for me.

I've actually read a really helpful article on TechReviewer that talks about the Wen 40417. Overview of the Wen 40417 Chainsaw It goes into detail about all the features and performance aspects of this chainsaw. You might find it useful for learning more before making your decision.

I've used one before and it's pretty lightweight compared to other gas-powered chainsaws I've used in the past.

Yeah, I agree with @PorkChopHill. The Wen 40417 is quite light at only 12 lbs. That makes it a lot easier to handle for extended periods.

It also has a good balance, so even though it's lightweight, it doesn't feel too top-heavy or hard to control when you're using it.

Thanks for sharing that link, @gabuzgod. I'll definitely check it out. The article summary states that it has a 4 Ah battery capacity, which seems good for extended use.

That's right! And the 40 volts maximum voltage should provide enough power for most tasks around the house or yard.

What about chain speed? I'm curious how fast it cuts through wood.

The Wen 40417 has a chain speed of 49 FPS, which is pretty decent for a lightweight chainsaw. It might not be as fast as some gas-powered models, but it's still more than capable for most home use tasks.

That sounds perfect for my needs. I think the Wen 40417 might be the right choice for me. Thanks everyone for your input!
